Lori Anschuetz

Idea Market, "What are the challenges and rewards of conducting moderated remote usability studies to reach out to more users in more places?"

Stephanie Rosenbaum, with Catherine Courage and Jhilmil Jain

Workshop, "Exploring Best Practices in Longitudinal Usability"—Longitudinal usability studies are increasingly becoming standard practice in industry, but lack "thought leadership" in the current literature—few articles or books address the topic. This workshop will identify and disseminate best practices for longitudinal research by conducting an in-depth exploration of methods and metrics that have proven effective for collecting user data over time.

Barbra Wells and Jennifer Carlson

Presenters, "Institutionalizing User Experience: A Consulting Challenge"— A usability consultancy partners with select usability "champions" in a Midwestern advertising agency and a Silicon Valley high-tech company to develop blended UX teams. The process involves education, positioning, communicating the value of findings, and integration into the design and development cycle. Examples of usability programs across industries and geographic regions illustrate the value and breadth of this partnering trend.
